Volunteers of America has provided foster care services for youth up through 18 years of age for more than 30 years. This program places a strong emphasis on youth development by focusing on strengths, interests and abilities of each and every child. Specialized foster care provides for training, certifications and re-certifications and recruitment of foster families. Youth referred for foster care are assessed and carefully matched with families, schools and communities that best meet their individual strengths, needs and preferences.
