The Independant Living Program teaches life skills to youth that have experienced incarceration, treatment, homelessness or out of home placement.  Youth in this program focus on employment, education, health, recreation and family relationships.

The Transitional Living House is a fully furnished home that provides opportunities for tenants to gain self-sufficiency and independence.

The youth and young adults participating in these programs determine what success means to them and develop a plan to accomplish their vision.  Independent Living staff provides one-on-one mentorship and access to multiple community resources to help each individual achieve their goals.

Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.

Theodore Roosevelt

The VOA was outstanding in regards to helping me with financing my education at MSU-Billings. I have chronic problems with being sick and I have a hard time working; so I help my mom with her Daycare and I took care of a little boy with autism this summer. It just wasn’t enough for what I needed so the money I was given to help with school supplies was a huge stress reliever. I am deeply thankful for all the help the VOA has given me and I hope they can continue to help teens in similar predicaments. Again thank you for all your help, consideration and care.

Sincerely,

Kimberely
