Volunteers of America Wyoming & Montana dedicated Independence Hall, its newest program in Billings, Montana on Veterans Day. Independence Hall is a beautiful 20 bed facility serving homeless veterans. The event was very well attended and featured guest speaker and Montana Governor, Brian Schweitzer.
"It's about helping Veterans get back on their feet with education skills and life skills," said the Governor, "that's the minimum we can provide for people who have stood for us and for their country." He added, “This is a great example of the services that can be provided, in the right place, at the right time, when we all come together to support our Veterans when they need us most.”
Governor Schweitzer joined the Trail Blazers from the Billings Chamber of Commerce for a ribbon cutting to dedicate the new facility.
